A little background...Music has always been a part of my life. Mom hummed as she worked around the house when I was small. She and Dad have always loved to listen to popular performers on radio and television. My brothers and sisters all have their favorites, and my friends and colleagues continue to amaze me with their talents and perspectives on the various levels in which music impacts our lives and our world.
It puts a twinkle in the eye and lifts our hearts, bringing the joy of heaven into the right here and now. It has a way of bringing us together in an awareness of the moment, lifting us to remember the sweetness, sacredness, the magic and fun in life. It can and does nurture and unite us. It brings us back to simple honest expression and gives us a chance to say what is in our hearts and minds, like an invitation to pray out loud or celebrate life with anyone and everyone who will listen.
At this point in my journey, I am listening for ways to bring us together. There is so much that celebrates life and has universal messages that can be appreciated by all peoples, no matter their country of origin, or faith.
